It’s officially the most magical time of the year with less than a month to go until Christmas! To celebrate and kick off our Christmas content, we’ve rounded up our favourite things to do in December to get you in the Christmas spirit. We know that things are going to be different this year, but everything in this post can be done with the people in your support bubble or socially distanced to keep you and your loved ones safe.
Watch All The Christmas Films
Nothing quite gets you in the Christmas spirit like a good old Christmas film. We all have our favourites that bring back a wave of nostalgia to past Christmases’, You just can’t beat watching these films in fluffy pjs with a hot drink by the fire to create the ultimate cosy day away from the cold weather outside.
Christmas crafts are the ultimate December activity when the weather isn’t great, and you need some indoor fun. From card making to getting creative with your gifts not only save money but are so much fun and can make something really special for the people you love. Getting crafty isn’t just for kids- trust us we love it here! Get creative and have fun, you never know you might just have a secret hidden talent.
The smell of baking over the festive period is one of those things you just can’t beat. Blasting out your Christmas playlist and bringing out your inner Mary Berry is a combination you have to love! There are so many options you can bake this time of year it’s too hard to only bake once!
Have An Online Browse
We’re sure you all have a good idea by now of what you want for Christmas and what you’ll be buying for those you care about, but there’s always something so exciting about going online to look at your favorite shops and adding to your Christmas list or finding the perfect gift. Don’t forget to try and shop from small businesses and always look for a discount code!
Listening to Christmas music with red cheeks all wrapped up makes for the perfect winter walk. Whether you go with people or on your own, it’s an activity that instantly boosts your mood, gets some steps in and helps you to really appreciate the nature around you. Why not take some photos while you’re out so you can admire the beauty of outdoors all the time?
Spend Time With Loved Ones
We understand that this year is definitely gonna be a little different but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun with the people you love whether it’s just over the dinner table or a zoom quiz (yes, we know they’ve gotten old, but a Christmas quiz is never a bad idea!) This time of the year is so special but can make those alone feel lonelier so do make sure to reach out to the people you care about.
Have A Clear Out
With the end of 2020 drawing to a close (we’ve nearly made it guys!) There’s no better time to clear out and get rid of the things that no longer spark joy in your life. It’s the perfect opportunity to give to charity, make money off items you can sell and make space for you Christmas wish list to arrive!
Relax And Unwind
Alongside being the most magical time of the year, December can be one of the most stressful times of the year with all the planning and festivities taking place. After the year we’ve all had, relaxing and unwinding over the festive period is more important than ever to feel refreshed and ready for whatever 2021 has to throw at us.
Make New Goals
Whether you want to make New Year’s resolutions or not, making new goals is always a good idea. They can help to put you on the right path to what you want, help make you more organised and gives you something to focus on throughout January which is undoubtably the most boring month of the year!
We hope you enjoyed this post and have found it useful, please feel free to leave your favourite things to do in December in the comments to help others. As always, please feel free to contact us with any suggestions, questions or even just a friendly chat, we’re always here.
