As we’re sure you can all appreciate, taking a break is needed for everyone once in a while. Although this is still a new blog and taking a little break wasn’t needed from this in particular, a few life issues have cropped up that we’ve wanted to work on (and still are!) Holidays have been had and exciting new changes have happened that we’ve needed to take time to focus on and adjust to but we’re back with new ideas and plenty of content for you to get reading (we’re especially excited about our Christmas content- is it too soon to say that?)
As you know, over here mental health is our number one priority and if we feel like we have too much on, or we just need a digital detox for a few days or weeks that is exactly what we will do. In the long run, it is better for us to take the break as we recharge and feel better, as we’re now ready to come back with 100% energy, have all the positive vibes and be more committed.
When these little bumps in the road happen, it is important to take each day as it comes, not stress on the things you can’t control and don’t take too much on. If you need a day in bed where you have a Harry Potter marathon with all the snacks and endless cups of tea that’s fine, if you go out for a walk and sit on a bench for a few hours taking in the scenery that’s also fine; and if you just want some time to yourself where you think about life and have a bit of a cry that is also perfectly fine! That has what the past few weeks have looked like, a bit stressful at times, some feelings of guilt for not writing blog posts even though we’ve had so many ideas and, feeling like work has been taking over our lives but, also not wanting to complain because due to the current circumstances it’s a privilege to have a job.
Despite all of this, we’ve got our action plan to get back on track with life (we can share that along with an update in a few weeks if you’d like), and we’re ready to hit the ground running once more and not focus on what gets us down, but learn from it.
We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got planned and, on a personal note, we want to say a massive thank you for being patient with us these last few challenging weeks!
Please feel free to leave your advice for coping with down days in the comments to help others. As always, please feel free to contact us with any suggestions, questions or even just a friendly chat, we’re always here.
